Types of Massage We Offer:
We offer 60 or 90 minute massage appointments, Monday – Friday
Deep Tissue
Typically a more intense type of massage, deep tissue targets the deeper layers of the muscles and soft tissue. Although it can be uncomfortable at times as your massage therapist is applying intense pressure, it is an excellent choice for those suffering from overuse injuries or chronic pain.
Relaxation Massage
Typically a full-body treatment that is focused on promoting a calm, soothing and stress relieving environment to create a state of ease and relaxation.
Positional Release Therapy
Positional release techniques use the body’s positioning to relieve pain and muscle tension by focusing on areas that are abnormally stiff or have a lack of range of motion. The massage therapist will gently position the affected area, hold it for a period of time which allows for the body to naturally release tension.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger point massage is a technique that is used on tender and tight muscles by applying firm pressure to the muscle tissue for several seconds until the trigger point softens. It helps to improve healing times, reduce pain and stiffness.
Prenatal
A variety of techniques are used in prenatal massage with positioning that is recommended and safe for pregnant women. It can reduce the aches and pains that are experienced with growing a baby. It can also improve circulation, reduce swelling and improve sleep.
Injury Recovery/Sports Massage
Created to help athletes and the weekend warrior recover from injuries, reduce muscle fatigue and soreness and enhance overall performance. The increase in circulation speeds up the healing process, allows the muscles to relax and improve in flexibility, and ultimately can be used to help prevent injuries.
Swedish
Swedish massage is one of the most popular and widely recognized massage techniques, known for its gentle and relaxing approach. It uses a combination of long, gliding strokes, kneading, friction, and light tapping to ease muscle tension and improve blood circulation. This type of massage is ideal for relieving stress, promoting relaxation, and enhancing overall well-being. Swedish massage can help reduce muscle soreness, increase flexibility, and support mental clarity by calming the nervous system. Whether you’re new to massage or looking for a soothing experience, Swedish massage offers a perfect balance of comfort and therapeutic benefits.
Manual Lymph Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a gentle and highly specialized massage technique designed to stimulate the body’s lymphatic system, encouraging the flow of lymph fluid to reduce swelling, detoxify tissues, and support immune health. By using light, rhythmic strokes and precise hand movements, MLD promotes fluid movement in areas where lymphatic circulation may be compromised. It is often recommended for managing conditions such as lymphedema, post-surgical swelling, and inflammation while enhancing relaxation and overall healing. This therapeutic approach leaves clients feeling lighter and more refreshed.
