Josh Brandner – Odom Health & Wellness
Jake Vanada, former Snocross Chaplin, approached Odom Health & Wellness this past fall with a then-crazy idea of providing elite-level medical coverage for professional snowmobile racing on-site at events. We at OHW, were excited about the partnership and began readying for the 2017-2018 race year. Before we knew it, we had enough demand and, luckily, donations to begin just a couple months later in time for the 2016-2017 season.
We cannot be more grateful to our title sponsor FXR as well as our donors Triton, who helped us get a 24-foot custom trailer set up like a mobile ER. We would also like to thank Polaris for donating the Ranger with tracks, as well as Cornerstone Auto who donated the 2016 RAM Truck to tow the trailer. OHW is now able to provide emergency and preventative medical coverage for all national Snocross races.
Thus far in the 2016-2017 season, we’ve treated everything from minor setbacks such as ankle sprains to a life-threatening injuries on the track. The riders deserve to have the best care possible and we know that this is what we, at OHW, can provide for them.
This inaugural year has proven to be a great experience for us. We are privileged to serve these athletes and be a part of this sport. We look forward to continuing to develop our relationships with the riders, the sponsors, and the sport of Snocross in the coming years.
